Sa Platgeta restaurantPaella in the shade of the pines, with your feet in the sand

Welcome to Sa Platgeta. We are right on Migjorn beach, and we have been cooking paella and fish here for almost fifty years. Many of our tables stand on the sand, among the pines, with the sea in front of you.

Paella, fish and seafood

Read our guests’ reviews and paella comes up more than any other dish. We make it seafood-style, mixed or with black rice.

We are open from late April to late October, every day except Wednesday.

What our guests say

Since 2015, almost 3,000 people have left us a review on Google, in Spanish, Italian, Catalan, German, English and French. Paella and the sea right in front are among the things they value most.

A beach restaurant the way they used to be

We opened in 1978, when the only way to Migjorn was along dirt tracks. We are still a little hard to find, and perhaps that is why the place is still the way it was: tables on the sand, seafood cooking and a dining room where islanders, seasonal workers and travellers from all over Europe sit side by side. Many guests tell us we are one of the few original beach restaurants left on Formentera.
